(i truly recommend going to this website: 'memento' the guy does really detailed summaries that are really interesting to read, unlike this one; plus there's also anime/manga in it too)
the story is about Chiaki (the guy in the middle) who is the top piano student in this music college.. he actually dreams to be a conductor, but knows that he won't get anywhere, because he can't go out of japan, since he has a really bad fear of travelling (nearly died in a plane ride and nearly drowned in a ship when he was small).
getting frustrated by the fact that he is 'stuck', and that his girlfriend has dumped him for a 'sausage' looking fellow (who managed to go overseas and meet his former teacher - a famous conductor in prague - ), he gets drunk and ends up lying in the hallway of his apartment..
then, megumi noda ('nodame') sees him and after poking him, he mumbles 'help me' so she takes him into her apartment...
then he wakes up, and is surrounded by a rubbish filled room (seriously.. u can't even see the floor or the bed) and after getting grossed out, and a bit scared, cos the girl was like saying things like "last night" and smiling creepily... he runs out and realises that he was in his neighbour's place!
nodame is a girl in the piano division at his college like him, but she plays very freely and by ear.. and chiaki gets frustrated by her... wen he gets home the next day, he's on his balcony, when this purple goo just seeps onto his porch from next door, so he presses the neighbour's doorbell (stacatto-finger style) and after being hit by the strong smell of rubbish, and discovering remnants of dinner from a year ago (roe on rice that's got spider-webby-looking stuff on it, etc) he cleans her house..
so nodame thanks him by cooking a charcoal fish with mayonnaise sauce...o_O... n he's weird-ed out, so he cooks a proper fancy pasta thing, and she compliments him and he's actually smiling now lol...
yea anywayss... the story is about them and the other music students at school..
and nodame sorta makes chiaki realise that music can be fun again...
in the drama, in scenes where chiaki hits nodame for being such a dummy, it goes in slow-motion, so u can see the shoe flying, or the weird facial expression or even a tear slowly flying out from the corner of the eye etc... it's really funny!!
nodame is such a weird character... REALLY not as normal as she looks in the picture, she talks in a weird acent and makes sound fx like 'gyaboo'
and the guy is a bit up himself in a funny (not obnoxious) way... he refers to himself as 'ore-sama'
u can find this in dailymotion.com but they're only up to episode 2
and the guy (tamaki hiroshi) is in another movie that i wanna watch, called "tada, kimi wo aishiteru" which has aoi miyazaki in it too (the girly nana in NANA) and it's about her being a shy/dorky girl who's in the same photography class as the guy... and den bla blabla u kno wat happens..
btw, he sings too... and reminds me of gackt's voice... pretty good actually the songs (if u wanna try and find it, type his jap name, not one written in romaji)
anyhooooo i'm really crap at making summaries... so if u think the drama's crap, it's not! so watch it!! hehe
and another news.... hana yori dango 2 is gonna be on air the start of next year!!! yayayayay!
