sc results!! *miaow*

got school cert results today!! and got all band 6!! yippee~ i was so nervous about english, but turned out good! and there was only 3 mark difference between all the results hehehehhehe *yaaaayyyyy*
the only thing that spoilt the 'perfectness' of the paper was the B for history on the school report :@ i'm all relieved now : D and for yet another list:
things i'm happy about:
sc results
going to indo - comics; air-con; don't have to clean guinea pig anymore
"christmas cheer" (is that what u call all the hype/feel?)

ok, and for the usual manga news..... chii's sweet home is a very expensive comic... :"( cos it's in full colour, it costs $19 in kino and $15 on yes asia, but since i wanna get all three books, i'm gonna go broke!!!! : ( o well... i'll just try finding it in indo kino..
(this blog seems to be turning into a manga blog....)

anyways, of course the good thing about going to indo, is the movies on the plane!! hehe, so here's wat i wanna watch -
December: the Illusionist
January: Open Season, the Queen
there's not much ei..... i was hoping there would be charlotte's web, happy feet or tada kimi wo aishiteru...
o well... i'll just get a sudoku book or something, so i won't be bored.

anyways, gonna have a christmas lunch tomorrow (before we go indo) and den gonna watch the holiday, seems like a typical romantic comedy, but that's why it looks good... rite? rite!
okies. nothing else to type.

back! and with more manga obsessions :D

haven't blogged in ages!! cos cc cindy came back, so i can't play on her comp all day and our other comp is being annoying... cos the mouse plug isn't working... so we can't do anything...

anyways, i'm now officialy on holidays!! yay~ and been doing nothing, except going online and downloading stuff hehe
ok, let's see what new stuff i'm interested in:
tenshi nanka ja nai (ai yazawa - the creator of NANA) - story about this girl and her life (mostly school). she likes this guy, who's one of those 'tough' scary looking guys, but actually nice... ya u kno the typical shoujo character... and even though it's simple, the storyline's really good, got interesting characters, plots and it's funny; so download!

chii's sweet home (konami kanata) - a comic about a CAT! the comic's in full colour!! and it doesn't have much dialogue - like sentaro - so i'm gonna try and find it in kino. the story's about this cat 'chii' who gets lost and separated from her mum, and gets picked up by the yamada family, and like sentaro, it tells the usual daily happenings in the households from the cat's point of view. it's really cute and the cat's expressions and 'dialogues' are really funny!
there's one chapter where the dad takes chii to the vet, but after, she gets mad at him cos she got scared by the dogs and traumatised by the thermometer up the bum, so the dad's all depressed cos he can only pat her when she's sleeping, or else she runs away from him... hehe..

but since i'm going to indo on SUNDAY (!!), doubt that i can get to kino and find it... i wonder how much it costs in the indo kino... hehehe can't wait to get to gramedia and have a comic shopping spree!!! *WEEEEE*

oh, and i downloaded tamaki hiroshi's album!! it's called "RIPPLE" hahahhaha yes... it sounds like nipple...
and here's a link of where to find
mp3s for jap/korean/chinese music and more. u can even download albums and video clips, people upload stuff there daily, all you have to do is register (just type email and make up a password) and den you can straightaway download, all u hv to do is click on the file u want, and u can even search for older stuff too... really good!

and to ruin the manga mood... some english garfield... -__-

oya btw, i massaged some oil on the gp's skin, to help with their skin problem... and i have to shower them today... got the oil from paddy's and one of them, "patchouli", was so stinky!! it smells like those chinese 'sariawan' (ulcer) powder medicine...
and i moved both of the boys into the garage now, cos the outside's too dirty, and it's causing all their itchiness... so they're living in a milk crate thing like chinta's... but since they're fat, and their food bowls are big, the cage is really cramped :"( o well, better than itching all day... i want to give them a smaller bowl, but since they're too fat, when they put their front paws on the bowl, it tips over and the food spills everwhere... yes it's sad...

luna park deSU!.....tamaki hiroshi!! *fangirl scream*

for our 'community day' this year - which is today -, we went to luna park! and for the first time ever, i went on the 'scary' rides...
first there was the flying saucer...where u stand in this 'cage' and then it spins sideways in circles, and then the circle tilts, so that one side tilts vertically... i was so nervous getting on it, but it wasn't that scary. the only thing i could feel was gravity pushing me, so i couldn't move my body! and my legs were moving wider apart, and i wanted to move em closer, but i couldn't... ye anyways... so i was screaming "aaaH" and by the end of the ride, my mouth was so dry i couldn't close them... my mouth was open literally like a rectangle shape, and i had to use my fingers to pull my lip off my gum so i could close my mouth... u kno, wen it's dry no matter how much you move your mouth, the lip won't move... yes

next, tango train... we lined up for half an hour, and den after being deafened by the REALLY loud music, my hands nearly died trying to pull myself up so i that i don't squash the other people on the seat (more like a long bench/sofa shape)...so. pros and cons of various positions on the tango train seat.. LEFT: obviously u get squashed... and ur hip bones hurt MIDDLE: u get squashed, possibly from both sides - if the person on the right doesn't care and doesn't try to climb up to the other side of the seat - RIGHT: your hands hurt from trying to stop squashing the people on your left
so by the end of the ride... i didn't really squash anyone much, but i kinda felt stupid, cos i was trying so hard not to move any further to the left, and i angled my feet to the left, so that i could 'push' myself to the right side... and so my butt wasn't really on the seat... sorta like wen ur in a public toilet, and you don't wanna sit on the bowl, so you just 'sit' without your bum touching...
ok, i doubt anyone will understand wat i just typed, but oh well.

last, we went on the pirate ship thing.... first time on this kind of ride... and pretty nervous, seeing people's face after they finish the ride... all red and stuff..
so, went in, and the person sitting next to me had a slight b.o. which soon disappeared (thankfully)... anyhoo, so the safety 'bar' thing, which was this cushiony thing which SQUASHES your stomach, goes down... and the ship starts swinging...
omg it felt like i was gonna fall off... first when it swung so that we were facing up, my head felt so heavy! cos there was no head rest, but when it swung so we were upside down, my butt literally went up from the seat, and i felt that i had to use my legs to stop me from falling... (ya of course i kno it won't happen.. but still) SO scary, cos even if u knew that the stomach guard thing wasn't gonna let u to fall, u could still move around a little... iihhhhhh so scary.. but good
and the worst bit was when it stops for a while before coming down...

lalalallalalla that was the end of the day (abrupt ending ei)
supposed to go to city, but for reasons unknown, ppl suddenly decided not to go! so after calling mum to tell her to bring money (cos i was supposed to come home first, so i didn't bring much), i had to call her again, saying...actually, no don't need....
so had sugarplum hokey pokey ice cream while waiting to be picked up by tnt kathy. the person scooped so much! i was so full.... but i guess it's worth my $3.90 and my mouth felt sticky afterwards...
and of course, the fat cat christmas series..
ok, so let's finish up with my 'fangirl mode' hehehe. it is: Tamaki Hiroshi!!
who played nodame cantabile, and surprisingly, the bald guy 'sato' from waterboys!!so let's compare his roles:

'sato' from waterboys (about guy's syncronised swimming team, really funny movie!)

'chiaki' from nodame cantabile (i think in this shot, he was shocked by the food that the other character - nodame - made for him... it was fried fish with mayonnaise sauce, the fish was like charcoal, and the mayonnaise was arranged in a heart shape... -__-"

'makoto' from the new jap movie "tada, kimi wo aishiteru" starring alongside aoi miyazaki who plays "shizuru"
i want to watch this movie!! it was directed by the same guy who made "ai ni yukimasu" (Be With You)... wonder when the dvd will come out...

yes, i didn't forget the comic : D

oh, forgot something. another cute shirt from threadless.com!! titled:
"the downside of genetic engineering"

hahaha funny ei! for those that don't get it (like me when i first saw the picture), obviously genetic engineering produced 'seedless' watermelons... so they can't have babies.. since they don't have seeds... yep i'm probably the only person who didn't get it straight away.

orang-utan...

i'm still thinking about the orang-utan adoption on WWF... i guess the only real thing that's holding me back is the fact that it's in US dollars... and that i keep getting the feeling that donating such a small amount won't help anything, since it's in Indo, where the destruction is happening really rapidly and the govt is really not interested in the conservation of wildlife anyways...
i know it's better than not doing anything at all... but even if i do 'adopt' and get the free orang-utan doll to 'acknowledge' wat i did, i'll feel sorta guilty, that i'm 'enjoying' the fact that i have this cute doll and not doing anything to help the real thing... it's a bit like going on and on about how cute leopards are and then buying a fur coat or something...
of course i know it's not to that extreme.. but still, i think that it feels wrong...

well, i'll just 'promote' the
website so whoever that might be reading this could donate or something...
and u can see in the pic that there's other animals that you can choose to adopt, the orang-utan just happens to be the one needing the most help (u can only adopt the lowland gorilla, not the mountain gorilla, whose numbers in the wild are something like 700)...
and the doll is really cute isn't it? it makes the donating process less 'real' i guess... it kinda hides the genuine intention to really help the species... but oh well, at least it's working (at least with me anyways)

ok, on a less depressing note... look at these cute panda pics from the july 2006 edition of National Geographic magazine titled "Panda Inc." i want the mag!

eating their supplement

playing around...

otegami, etc. etc.

remember the letter that i had to send for religion??? yea anyways, we had to write a letter about our "dreams" and send it to a fake address anywhere in the world, and see if it will come back... it's supposed to say that "dreams take flight" and that if a piece of paper can go so far, imagine wat we could do...
so......... i sent mine to osaka, and it came back!!! i thought that it'll take longer!
so the envelope had like stamps from japan and stuff heheheh : D
i read it, and i was quite surprised that some of my feelings wen i wrote it really changed... like i wrote "i wonder if i'll still be playing piano" or something... gosh, i could never imagine not playing...

anyhoo... i hv to read in this year 10 celebration mass thing (just 3 lines) and once again... wen the teacher said 'thanks for volunteering' etc... i was like... we did..? cos we got sent to the office... and figured out then that we had to do stuff... haiyah..
i can't read properly... and i talk fast..

and for the guinea pig news... koshi moved to a milk crate in the garage, cos his skin was getting worse.. since the backyard is filled with creepy crawlies that come out at night... i remember once i forgot to move the cage after cleaning it... and the next time that i did, all these grey coloured invertebrates starting crawling out from the area that was covered by the cage!!! omg it was so disgusting...

going luna park on friday!! and gonna go capitol (i hope) and eat at ichiban boshi yay! hehe i haven't seen the capsule machines since ages~ hehehehe gonna save up my $2 coins : D
and i bought books for next year's english class, and i'm pretty excited with the texts! for once it's not about aboriginal people or a "journey about belonging" etc etc. i think it's pretty weird that we're always studying about aboriginal people... isn't it like studying about another race... like if we had to study asians, that'd be super weird..

and next sunday, going indo!!! yayayayayayayayyayayyaay!!! haven't been there in 2 years!! all i'm excited about is, weirdly enough, playing on the piano at the indo house, cos it's not as loud as the one here, and it has a 'nicer feeling' wen you press the keys... hhehe yea..
and of course i want the comics!!! and also get fake movies hehe : D

hikaru utada's song, distance, is on japan-a-radio now.. it sounds pretty good... download maybe??
oya, those that like her songs, youtube (wah, new verb) "boku wa kuma" it's her song and the video clip is about this really cute teddy bear!! and if u get the cd, it comes with a picture book of it that hikaru utada illustrated herself.

oh btw, i hv sport tomorrow :"( so period 1 and 2 is walking (tiring) and then period 4 - instead of maths, to fulfill the new govt policy thing - we're gonna walk to coogee beach... i guess it's not that far... rite... and den play with the waves : D

okok i'm still obsessed with nodame cantabile and mori daisuke's songs!!
i wanna download... but can't find where : (
tasukete. owell here's garfield. (i thought the second one was really funny!)

oya forgot, the 'stupid' birds are still squawking and annoying the cats :( so wenever i hear squawking and i look out the window, i'm gonna see the cats going "mea-a-a-aw" (their bird miaow) and the bird screaming or zooming past their heads..
btw, i read that the 'bird miaow' happens cos the cat is sorta 'entranced' by the bird.. thinking it's yummy and so it imagines that the bird is already in its mouth, and so the 'vibrating' miaow is sorta like the 'death bite' when the cat bites the bird's throat and kills it.
and i thought that it was cute when i first heard it :o

gotta clean the gp cages now :"(

vengeful birds!!

remember the bird that i saved from phoebe ages ago?? well.... either its friends or those type of birds in general (the little brown one with orange beaks that are really noisy).... are now attacking the cats whenever it sees them!!
so biscotti and phoebe are just peacefully in the garden, doing whatever.. and it'll just start squawking really loudly and swoop down purposely down onto the cats, like it's baiting it or trying to annoy it!! it's so mean.... and the bird does it multiply times!! so after the cats are going "mea-a-a-aw" (the bird miaow) at them.... it ignores them and it starts squawking at the cats again, as if saying "ha ha i'm up here and you can't reach me! and now i'm gonna fly down and bother you!! again, and again!!!"

those birds are evil.... gosh... i thought birds are supposed to have... bird brains... i never expected them to hold grudges....

yea anyway, another garfield... just came in the mail.

oh, here's a link to the nice mozart duet that i mentioned in the last post, it'll link u to a website, so u just need to scroll down to the "sonata" section, and it's the last 3 songs in that section (it's around the middle of the page) and just download the first movement, cos the second and third is not that nice..

list! list! list!

i'm bored, so i 'll just write up the stuff that's in my notepad (stuff i wanna find/see):

the Television magazine
(jap) - with nodame cantabile (the drama that i'm obsessed with right now!!)article - $7.10 in kino.. released weekly on wednesdays.
Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru (heavenly forest) - new movie starring aoi miyazaki and tamaki hiroshi
Mozart's sonata for two pianos - from Nodame Cantabile... i'm playing it on repeat now on the comp. it's the only duet that mozart composed... gotta go find!! (the first movement is the best) if you wanna hear, go to this website. you'll find it under the 'sonata' section, and it should be the last 3 songs in that section.
Mori Daisuke - i still can't find his songs!!! it's all so good!! plus he makes his own songs and plays the piano!!! .. let's list all the good ones: our song, crazy 'bout you, my favourite shoes (theme song of cartoon network show 'franny's feet') and furerarenai basho... so basically all the songs he's released this year are all good!!! so i'm waiting for the album to come out! since i can't find it on limewire or through google... and buying the single separately is too expensive.
January issue of Girlfriend - just because you get a free pendant necklace with either bambi or "love" hehehe i love freebies : D
Encyclopedia Prehistorica Dinosaurs: Dinosaurs - a pop up encyclopedia about dinosaurs!!! by Robert Sabuda & Matthew Rinehart.
oya, here's a link to a good site with REALLY cool/complicated
pop up books (like alice in wonderland and the dinosaur one i mentioned above).. watch the videos..

and other books that i want/have to get/read:
Forever in Blue (Ann Brashares) - the fourth and last book in the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants series.. released January 2007
Shopaholic & Baby (Sophie Kinsella) - the newest book in the shopaholic series.. obviously the main character has a baby..
Bittersweet Sixteen (Carrie Karasyov & Jill Kargman) - story about this girl who got a scholarship into an american private school where everyone is rich, and it tells of her life and a new girl that comes into the school..
Pride & Prejudice (Jane Austen) - just because it's a classic... so i hv to read it!! and plus not many books now uses the type of language it does..
A Christmas Carol (Charles Dickens) - the classic story that's always remade by disney/muppets.. the one with the scrooge who hates christmas... yes i hv to read it in the holidays for the ext. english class next year..
Dracula (Bram Stoker) - i've never heard of this author.... and yep it's another book for english...

of course i'm gonna wait 'til i get a coupon from borders until i try to find these books : D hehehe... i just got on in the mail for 30% off a fiction book!! hehehe i like discounts : )

and just a funny t-shirt that i saw on threadless.com titled "facial hair club for men" and it shows pics of the different hairstyle that men could have... it's really funny... got like "the Guy Fawkes", "the Pervert", "the 90210" etc, it's really funny...
if the pic's too small, click here to see a bigger one from the actual site..

btw, threadless is having a christmas sale, so all the t-shirts are $10 - US dollars of course :"(

and for the daily garfield:
