eh how can?

i watched the end bits of a documentary yesterday on sbs called "HOLIDAYS IN THE DANGER ZONE: PLACES THAT DON'T EXIST" narrated by Simon Reeve (hmmm name sounds familiar...) and it was about Somaliland (not Somalia), a place that had its own government, but it's not recognised as a country by the world.
and the host was talking to the president and asked him what the national budget was and he said "whatever we can get", "this year is 30 million.....last year 2 million".... look here at the BBC site for more info about the program: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/documentaries/features/places-that-dont-exist.shtml
it's so weird that they aren't recognised, but why? i shall google.

whoa!!

R. Nadal vs R. Federer
6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 6-7 (8/10), 9-7

4 hours and 48 minutes match!

(i fell asleep T___T will find the clip on the net!)

TSONGA!!!

hoho for those who watched the match on Thursday, you'd know what i'm gonna be talking about

i recorded the match cos apparently this "unknown", ranked 38th (not gonna jinx anything) is REALLY good. and after watching the hilarious, weird, original, sad, kooky, great JUNO, watched the recording!

omigoodness, this is the first match that i've watched that's made me talk to the TV, literally acting like a sport fanatic shouting at the TV (and made me talk like this person from school who uses words such as "amazing", "incredible" "magical" when she talks about Australian Idol...-___-")
the match was Jo-Wilfried Tsonga against Rafael Nadal (#2) and from the start of their warm-up, they were already hitting serious shots at each other!

Nadal is #2, but as the commentator Jim Courier said (i like his commentary, not talking about tennis jargon which i don't understand), he's "always in overdrive", like he runs all around the court (haha thanks to Tsonga) and his already wet-looking hair is dripping in sweat (but his arm is so muscly migod! i wonder what it feels like to receive his forehand!), while Jo-W. is hitting all calm, 'running' to the net, and hitting volleys and drop-shots so effortlessly!! and the ball somehow just stops after the first bounce over the net!!!

and when Rafael N. doesn't get a point or something, his face is soooo disappointed! like *aggh.... - insert basset hound face -* compared to Jo-wilfried who doesn't have a reaction really, and some of his game was soooooo good Nadal was smiling in disbelief like everyone in the audience! and when it was only one more point until the match point, he was smiling, like, yes, let's just finish this..he's too good. seriously like he's never lost a set before in this Aus. Open, and now he's being beaten by the world #38 with a score of 6-2, 6-3, 6-2!!!! whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

so happy i have it on tape (~__________~)V that's a relieved face
haha reminds me of what kennysia thought of jay chou's face: -__- hahahaha ok.

can't wait for tomorrow's match Tsonga against Djokovic!! *tape ready*.

just watched the first episode of pushing daisies, the new series that's gonna run on channel 9 in February (how u ask, well, got the DVD with the channel 10 and 9 previews that's supposed to come in the sunday newspaper early! haha perks of having someone work in the newsagency hehe)

The story is: Lee Pace (the guy who's gonna play with the girl who plays in Enchanted, in an upcoming movie called "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" - about Emma Watson -the Nanny McPhee actress, not Hermione- who becomes the assistant of the Enchanted person -Amy something?- to help her find the right man to marry)
ok anyways, Lee Pace is "Ned" this boy who discovered that since he was 10, or around that, could touch something dead and bring it to life again, he also has this girl who lives next door that he obviously has a crush on, but of course it's not all happy happy with his newly found gift and that something happens as a consequence if he does bla bla bla (yea don't wanna spoil it)
but the storyline is really good! about Ned now, twenty...four? dunno, but anyways he has this pie shop called "the pie hole" and a bunch of stuff happens leading him to meet this other character, who helps him start this work, and thus the plot starts. (the pie makes me wanna watch waitress again T__T)
the guy doesn't look as weird as he does on the promotional dvd from the newspaper, actually quite cute!

umm ya the show's inset song reminds me of the desperate housewives opening song/series of unfortunate events type of mysterious but happy music, and there's also a narrator that makes it seem like the SoUE again, and the story rolls pretty fast, so not bored.
yes obviously i'm gonna be following this series and googling it once the new download limit is refreshed

also got the Princess Diaries book 9 today!! yayy
(just realised since book 8 that the book only spans for about 2 weeks!)

and rules of engagement is quite funny too!

finally!!!! up to today~

i love maths.
haha anyways, started the day with maths, and so weird/funny cos mr. lisi (the teacher) knocked on the door connecting to the other room with another maths class, and when the other teacher opened the door, they were both talking to each other, and they both had the same colour clothes!! so funny!! and when the teachers went out of the doorway, i could see the other people (students), but since my desk was directly infront of the door, it was really weird cos they were just looking through at staring at me hahaha i can't explain properly but it made me laugh. hahahahahhaha ......!alsdjflakj yes.

had peer-support today, and kinda grateful that i have amy as my partner, cos half the yr 7s don't listen to me! probably because amy's the leader kinda person, so she repeats what i say in a different way so that they understand more clearly... dammit i can't speak properly!

oya btw at lunch, found out that lisa and bekki watches hana yori dango too!!

last period was chem. i decided that i REALLY hate experiments now (i never liked them, except if it's making something or cutting something up). we ended up wasting around 20 matches trying to light the Bunsen burner, and at the end of the lesson, the tiny amount of salt that we managed to obtain from evaporating the water, got dissolved again, cos the water moved when i tried to move the dish to the window sill to leave it to naturally evaporate over the weekends cos we didn't have enough time to finish.

and finally, i've caught up with my blogging!!!! heheheh. ok bye.
oya btw, tv series that i'm watching now is: heroes, so you think you can dance (and next week, ugly betty!)

tsumanne~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOREDDDDDDD... decided to use another colour font, cos brown is a bit of a sad colour.
so.. watched the last samurai couple nights ago, and it's sorta similar to gorillas in the mist... they always kill the brave ones, and the ones that were there originally.. gosh, just make me hate humans... not like i do anything to help, but still, i just wonder at our 'evil-ness'.

hmm let's make a list! cos i like lists : )
favourite books:

series of unfortunate events (lemony snicket) - so full of clues, puzzles and mystery!
princess diaries (meg cabot) - weird and funny
harry potter and the half-blood prince (jk rowling) - the only one in the series that made me laugh
'pirates in an adventure with' series (gideon defoe) - so funny and random!! but got factual stuff too
manga: hana kimi/yakitate!! japan/beauty pop/sentaro/ouran host club
favourite shows:

gilmore girls
criminal minds
my wife and kids
meerkat manor
favourite movies:

finding nemo
lion king
the last samurai
she's the man
favourite foods:

ice cream: baklava mixed with vanilla/green tea
sandwiches...with nice fillings - not nutella etc.

haiya... ok can't think anymore.................................. let's do something else.... so what am i excited for that's coming up?? let's see, cc oni's b'day! and the Jap festival! omg, really dunno wat to write, but trying to escape making science notes... in the middle of doing 'evolution'...
let's talk about, INDIAN MOVIES den.. cc oni likes them, and they last for ages! so i'm bound to see it on the tv, especially when she borrows like 4! storyline: girl likes guy, but the parents don't approve, so they sing and dance and chase each other and stare and cry to express their love, so at the end, they got close, look at each other's eyes, and after what seems like an eternity, they HUG... no kiss ya anyway, like 2 days ago on the dvd, there's this scene where the girl is looking at the guy dancing and she's getting all teary, then after the guy (who is part of this dancing group who were hired for some event) finishes his routine, the girl starts running and goes into her (hotel?) room, but when she turns around, the guy is ALREADY in the room.. how did he beat her?? she was RUNNING! hmm yea.

bla bla bla blabla think about it, (just a random thought) our ancestors are actually fish... and bacteria etc.
oh, speaking of animals, i gave the cats chicken neck today, but biscotti, being a spoilt 'house cat' (even though she's not allowed inside) 'cannot' eat big chunks of anything, she never digs her teeth into something and munch on it... so she like nips bits of it, and then walks away going 'mewh' then swishing her tail onto me.. so Phoebe is left with the neck, and she munches on it so yum soundingly.. all the bones cracking, and she's purring and you can hear all the 'nyap nyap' saliva sounds... and then... i see biscotti cleaning her face! gosh, she didn't even eat anything!!.... acts like a princess!
she's shedding a lot lately, so when i brush her, the whole backyard is filled with hairballs... sometimes i just pull her fur and the whole chunk comes off!but not so bad that there's bald patches, like KOSHI!!! he's so ugly now, cos he scratches so much that he's bald and looks like a sharpei, cos he's sorta still a bit chubby... but his skin is clean.. no disease or anything, so he's probably just bored..
unlike ponta, who's got le fungi!! (probably) his skin is all flaky and it looks like he has dandruff, basically what i had with my scalp before, and sometimes still ongoing now.. i'll hv to make that 'ointment' that i read in the guinea pig handbook, and give them a shower .. someday

only got one week of holidays left. help. ok another to do list: make notes and study!!!!
wash guinea pigs
exercise (ya as if)
practice piano (i hv no lessons for the next 4 weeks!!! she's going to Europe..)
study some more.

ok................................................ a bien tot! oh btw, we got the tickets!! so definitely going to INDO! :D
green is a weird colour
oh well, i'll change tomorrow... make this blog all *cheerful!!!* (*O*)v nyoh!

no more complaining..

time for a happy post!!!!! (but pretty sure gonna be some complaining :D)
today, went to darling harbout to see the new WILDLIFE PARK!!!!!!!!!!! but before dat, we saw the "chalk the walk" on pyrmont bridge, where chalk artists draw stuff on the bridge, it was really cool, but i forgot to vote for the people's choice, o well.

ok, and for the wildlife park: supposed to try and get the free double passes from 2day fm that was there, but we were 45 min early, and we might have to do something weird, so decided to just PAY :'(
n so we went in, and it was really pretty and natural looking (the habitats) there was: butterflies, nocturnal, semi-arid, rainforest, cassowary, reptile, insect n yea... it was really nice :D and we got a free guide book too!! but we went through the whole thing really quickly...

yea, den went around city and kino (of course), and there was the 'edo art' people there, and they were handing out brochures and free capsule things with pins inside! and i got one with those japanese fans with a geisha looking woman on it! hehee freebies :D....but outside it was sooooooo windy and dry!!! we were like walking against the wind and our eyes were more sipit than before cos all the dust were like attacking us.

btw, tomorrow is the MATHS yearly exam!!!! and after that is the english speech that i have to start doing now. sooo... yes

oh, i watched 'project runway'!!! it's sooooooooooooo good, hehe i'll watch the rest of the episodes after all my tasks are done :D

haha
one more thing, Biscotti's got the same 'illness' as me!! so weird, my pets always have the same disease as me or vice versa, so we end up using the same medication.... biscotti's eye is like red on the outside and so she keeps on closing it (looks like she's winking... so it's cute, but actually painful), and so i gave her the eye cream thing that i used for my bintitan. hope she gets better.
