holidays so far.... > saturday - 30/09/06

Animania!!! got picked up by Vanessa's dad at 9, and arrived half an hour early, but there was like no one on the church steps, so we went to woolies first to read mags...
went back after a while, and after just standing around, vanessa realised that this wasn't the lining up area, (cos i saw a sign saying 'entry' and pointing to the right, but i just thought that there's a DOOR there... but NO!) so we went around to the side, and there were soooooooo many people!!! and we just kept walking and walking and walking until we reached the end of the line, which was near the traffic lights of QVB!! gosh, but even though we pre-registered, we were moving at the same pace as the other people..

weird stuff which i noticed while lining up with vanessa and sabrina (who really looks like vanessa!!!):

• there were 30 something unemployed looking guys in a group... weird (extreme otakus?) but on their shirt, it had like logos of companies... so they are employed? yea anyways....

• the girls behind us were obviously 'yaoi' fans (i thought they said 'yowie' as in the chocolate, so i was like...wat..) n they had a fan which said "i like boys who like boys"....................................................

• one of the staff dressed up as a naruto character, and he had orange contacts!! n it looked so real.. like he's possessed or something..

so, when we finally got in (got a stamp and 'goodie' bag: bunch of paper!!), saw more cosplayers, and went straight to the stall area!!! there were: Tamarket, Madman, Hondarake, games (DDR, fighting machine thingies, racing etc) and more stuff that i forgot... n i got a Haruhi fastener from Tamarket!! hehe and the shopkeeper was dressed like Yuko from XXXholic!! so when she saw my camera, she was like 'hold on' den after serving customers, she posed for the photo.. hahaha wat..

den bla bla bla... wandered around to the stage area, where they were showing anime, and it had like more stalls behind it, where people sold stuff they made (craft stuff/drawings/illustrations - really good quality - and fan stuff) then there was.... '10 minute sketching' area, karaoke and FOOD!
there wasn't as much as i thought... and my okonomiyaki wasn't there! :"( so i just lined up for takoyaki, which took.. 1 hour!!! but it was good.. n dey had bottles of jap drinks, pocky, bread top melon bread (for some reason), fish ball, taiyaki, totoro cupcakes, aussie stuff - hotdogs, and..... turkish gozleme, which NOBODY went to!! so funny... i only saw one middle aged uncle go there, and he wasn't asian

saw juliet, izzy, chloe, but got bored, so went to kino with sabrina... the person at the stationery section must've thought i was weird, cos i kept on wondering there for AGES!! btw, they have Densha Otoko novel in english now!!! hehe gonna buy next month... when my wallet is revived!

den went back in time for the cosplay, which started at 3pm! so late... it was good, especially the cardcaptor skit, meilin and sakura was fighting for syaoran, so funny! and there was this mum who made a 'chibimoon' costume for her kid and the host was like 'so how many years have u been a fan?' and she said '4' ....'and how old are you'..........'3'... hahaa so random.. but she was so cute, and the judges were like all smiling *awww*
we were waiting for the ouran cosplayers to come up, but they didn't... and we had to go, cos the thing finished at 6pm! so walked to world square to meet cc oni & mama and they drove vanessa & co. home

it just happened to be a long weekend with double demerit, so we were looking for police, cos we had one too many person... and when we nearly arrived, mama was like "*scream!* polisi" gosh i got like a heart attack, so sabrina had to duck down... they were there cos the traffic lights died... they must've been wondering why we were all laughing weirdly in the car... o_o" good thing they didn't come near our car!!

at night, mel came over! :D haven't seen her in ages!! she might come to indo on the same day as me! hehe so excited, hvn't been there since 2 years ago......... comics - tachi *drool*

yay holidays!!!

yay!!!!!!!! but i know that i'll hv to study nonstop for the (pointless) school certificate..
but, on the positive note, tomorrow is.... ANIMANIA!!!!! so excited! hehehe can't wait to: eat okonomiyaki, get comics, get ouran stuff and et cetera!

yesterday, me, cc monic and cc oni went to watch Step Up, it was really good! maybe cos compared to Devil Wears Prada, this actually has a storyline, the dancing was really cool... i bet everyone wants to dance now, but i can't :( cos i forget the moves..
Channing Tatum is so bulky! and... tall, his arms are like so long, like chimpanzee
oh, and we went to "Kiki's" (the new swedish stationery and homeware store in Eastgardens) and i bought new pens!!! it was 'angelic colour' and the colour is sooooo good, hehe can't stop writing with it, but then at school vanessa pointed out that some of the ink (in the newly bought pen!) was already used :( oh well, i won't finish it that fast anyways..

yea anyway, let's talk about jap 'singers'.
1. 'AKB48' - which stands for 'akihabara48' the number of girls in this group (not 48) will ASTOUND you! and i thought Morning Musume was like the biggest girl group ever!! I counted: 36!!! and they're all smily and "peace" sign-y, so ashamed, i used to be obsessed with morning musume ^_^"
haha i even googled them, and they're actually a 'theater troupe' (like a talent agency thing like in kodocha?) and the ones on the cd cover are the original 20 members. i'll let u decide for urself what u think of them:

2. yes, this was gonna happen someday.. Tachibana Keita has finally gone solo! yayyyy i can never hear the other members of w-inds sing anyways... even though he sounds like a girl, he can sing, but i dunno why he needs to play the guitar as well...maybe cos he'll look stupid if he dances all energetically by himself..
the song's actually so-so (it's called 'michishirube' btw), very typical, but i just read on cdjapan.com, that he actually wrote the song himself! i can't tell if it's cheesy or not though, my crap jap! o well.

i think he looks better less serious (for some reason, i pose like the first picture often*peace! grin*... o_o")... lalalalallala dunno wat else to type...

today, went to darling harbout to see the new WILDLIFE PARK!!!!!!!!!!! but before dat, we saw the "chalk the walk" on pyrmont bridge, where chalk artists draw stuff on the bridge, it was really cool, but i forgot to vote for the people's choice, o well.

ok, and for the wildlife park: supposed to try and get the free double passes from 2day fm that was there, but we were 45 min early, and we might have to do something weird, so decided to just PAY :'(
n so we went in, and it was really pretty and natural looking (the habitats) there was: butterflies, nocturnal, semi-arid, rainforest, cassowary, reptile, insect n yea... it was really nice :D and we got a free guide book too!! but we went through the whole thing really quickly...

yea, den went around city and kino (of course), and there was the 'edo art' people there, and they were handing out brochures and free capsule things with pins inside! and i got one with those japanese fans with a geisha looking woman on it! hehee freebies :D....but outside it was sooooooo windy and dry!!! we were like walking against the wind and our eyes were more sipit than before cos all the dust were like attacking us.

btw, tomorrow is the MATHS yearly exam!!!! and after that is the english speech that i have to start doing now. sooo... yes

oh, i watched 'project runway'!!! it's sooooooooooooo good, hehe i'll watch the rest of the episodes after all my tasks are done :D

haha one more thing, Biscotti's got the same 'illness' as me!! so weird, my pets always have the same disease as me or vice versa, so we end up using the same medication.... biscotti's eye is like red on the outside and so she keeps on closing it (looks like she's winking... so it's cute, but actually painful), and so i gave her the eye cream thing that i used for my bintitan. hope she gets better.

ok, another complaint from me: i got my work back from the very baka r.e. teacher.. we had to write an extended response on "my social justice 'A FAIR GO, AUSTRALIA'". n wen i went up to get it, he starts giving me advice, and starts telling me this story called 'The Tale of Two Potatoes" (which he spelt: the tail of two potatos), because he thought that my response made me sound like a hypocrit , and so he goes: 'would it be fair if i gave (classmate's name) one potato, and u one potato?' n i say '..yea' n den he asks 'how about if i gave (classmate's name) 1000 potato and you only one potato?' n i'm like... even though i don't know the circumstances.... i go '............no.' (cos dat's probably what he wants me to say) n he's like... 'just keep that in mind'.... so i'm like walking back to my computer... n i noticed that he circled "elderly" on my response and wrote "becareful not to be a hypocrit" even though, what i wrote was about how teenagers are seen as troublemakers and less intelligent, because "mostly the elderly - those that are not teenagers - think that our education are focusing on things that are too modern, and are not talking about basic stuff like manners". Honestly, what's so 'hypocritical' about that? it is true, and what else should i say? "old people"? "people that are not teenagers", i thought 'elderly' was the most polite way to word it, but no.
I hate it wen teachers try so hard to sound smart, wen at the end they just seem more dumb than before. yes, this is the weird teacher that i mentioned before in this blog.... aaaaargh!! i hate him!

today is MAMA'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i shall not type in her age, because she looks young, and would shock everyone with her real age! *gasp, smacks cheek* hehe..
yesterday, cc monic, kk vito and cc jessica came over to eat, n den we took photos with the VERY weird cake.. it was 3 sticky date pudding from david jones, on a plate, with 2 other small cakes on the side and fan strawberries displayed very 'norak-ly' hahaa it's so weird..

n mama got a bunch of make up from cc monic, n for some reason, they tested it out on me!!! hmmm yea i need to shape my eyebrows btw, so wild! hahaha there's like hair growing in all directions lol

n last night, i made her card, which is a flower with her face in the middle of it, and inside, it's got like pics of nudie characters :D
& i gave it to her this morning... :)

oh, after school today, we went to newsagent to check if the lotto she got from tante linda actually won, and it DID!! hahaha but only $43.95, pretty good though, it was the 4th division prize! and only 4 people won it! whoa~
n in pacific square, there was this table with wwf (the animal one ) stuff, so as usual, i go there and start looking at the brochures n stuff, so i pick it up, and the person turned to me, shook my hand and told his partner to explain what they're doing... (yea as if i dunno) and the other person takes like 15 seconds before he picks up one of the brochures and points to the pic and goes 'this is now' and points to the pic next to it, with like dead stuff and goes 'this is 15 years from now' (in a totally one tone voice), n den at the end, he's like, 'u can't be a member until ur 21, but you can go to our website at www.wwf.org and donate' and i'm like.... uhhhh that's why i came over.. .to see if i can donate. and then the other stupid person turns around to me again and says something... and then after seeing me hold one of their postcards, and he tells me that i can't take it, cos it costs money, and he wants to save it, WELL! wat's de point of having it there, and not letting someone who's GENUINELY interested on actually donating to WWF take it?????? so weird man, i just wanna go DUH, but of course i didn't. and so i go, 'oh ok, so i'll just take the brochure (which is medium thickness)' and he says i can't even take that! OMGGGG
so i just put it down and walked away
they're doing a very good job (!) i shall never trust a WWF representative, especially stupid, blur, creepy looking guys with dyed blonde spiky hair with regrowth and long thin sideburns!!!!!!!!!!

far out, i'll just continue supporting RSPCA dammit! stupid, people, don't they know that it's easier to influence teenagers or little kids to support animal organisations!!!!!!! a-DUH!
